Hi I am very late to this but the easiest way is to set both Logic Drummer and Kontact to the same default midi mapping. I find using GM for both works pretty well. Then select a kit through Kontakt, open the instrument plugin and do that in the options tab in the Midi mapping window under "preset" dropdown.

For example: the intro section will get an intro type drum performance, the verse will have slightly higher energy, and so on.

First bring up the drummer performance view. Double-click a drummer region, or select one and click E for editors. Every region will have an independent performance based on the AI of this drummer performance view.

You can essentially do whatever you want with tempo and Beat Mapping will lock the DAW to your movements. There are a few ways to approach Beat Mapping in Logic. These are located in the Global Tracks section. Allow the plugin to analyze the audio to get an estimate of the tempo.
